Nothing here is legal advice

Everything on this site — the articles, the pricing guides, the legal dictionary, the descriptions of practice areas, and anything else we have written — is general information about Czech law. It is not advice about your situation.

Law changes. Articles are accurate to the best of our knowledge on the day they are published and are not systematically updated afterwards. General information cannot account for the facts of your case, and the difference between a general rule and your particular circumstances is usually the whole point.

Prices are estimates

Where we publish typical costs, they are indicative figures gathered from public sources and from what lawyers on the platform charge. They are not quotes. What you will actually pay depends on the lawyer, the matter and the arrangement you reach, and only the lawyer can tell you that.

We do not vouch for the lawyers listed

Lawyers write their own profiles. We do not independently confirm their claims about their experience, results, specialisation or expertise.

What the verified badge means. We have checked the lawyer's Bar registration number against the public register of the Czech Bar Association and reviewed their profile against it. The check is done manually, at the time the lawyer is verified. It is not a live check at the moment you are reading the profile, it says nothing about the quality of their work, and it is not a recommendation. Verification is included with a paid plan, so a lawyer without the badge is not necessarily unregistered — they may simply be on the free plan.

Appearing on CasePilot is not an endorsement. The order in which lawyers appear is not a ranking of quality — lawyers on a paid plan appear above lawyers on the free plan, which reflects what they pay us, not how good they are. See our Terms of Service for how results are ordered.

Choosing a lawyer is your decision, and it is worth making carefully. You can check any Czech advocate's registration yourself in the public register maintained by the Czech Bar Association at www.cak.cz.

Reviews are opinions

Reviews are written by users of the site and are their opinions, not statements of fact by us. Every review comes from a registered account, and each one is labelled to show whether the reviewer booked through CasePilot or was invited by the lawyer. Invited reviews come from people the lawyer selected, so they are not a random sample. We do not verify that what a review says is accurate. A lawyer chooses whether reviews appear on their profile at all; where they are switched off, none are shown.

We are not responsible for what happens between you and a lawyer

Any agreement you reach with a lawyer is between the two of you. We are not a party to it. We do not supervise the work, we do not hold the money, and we are not liable for the advice, the conduct, the fees or the outcome.

If something goes wrong with a lawyer, your route is the lawyer, and then the Czech Bar Association, which handles complaints against advocates. Tell us too — we would want to know.
