Filters in the lawyer list

Updated 5 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

The filters sit beside the list of lawyers. On a computer the three most used are always in view, and Expand all filters opens the rest. On a phone they're all in one place.

What each filter does

  • Practice area — what your case is about. Pick an area and its specialisations appear under it.
  • Language — which language the lawyer can talk to you in.
  • Location — a region and, if you like, a city. Lawyers who work nationwide show up in every region.
  • Client type — who the lawyer works for: individuals, freelancers, companies, non-profits or the public sector.
  • Consultation type — in person, online or by phone.
  • Price range — the hourly rate, in Czech crowns.
  • Availability — how soon the lawyer has a free time: today, this week or this month.

A filter you tick beside the list applies straight away. In the expanded panel, filters apply when you press Apply filters.

How filters combine

Different filters add up: a lawyer has to match every one you set. Within one filter, a single match is enough — tick English and German and you'll see lawyers who speak at least one of them.

The exception is Consultation type: tick more than one and you'll only see lawyers who offer all of them.

Important

Narrowing the Price range drops lawyers who don't list an hourly rate in crowns. And Availability only shows lawyers you can book through their calendar.

Sorting and clearing

Sort the list by lowest or highest price, by rating, or with the newest profiles first. Clear filters removes them all at once.
