What the Verified badge means

Updated 5 Oct 2026 · 1 min read

The Verified badge means we've checked the lawyer's entry in the Czech Bar Association's register of lawyers (ČAK).

How verification works

The lawyer asks for it. They send us their ČAK registration number and documents — a copy of their lawyer's ID card and proof of identity. We check the details against the public register before we give the badge. A person does the check, not an automated system.

Important

Verification confirms that a lawyer was registered with the Czech Bar Association when we checked. It is not a live check, it says nothing about the quality of their work, and it isn't a recommendation from us.

A lawyer without the badge

No badge doesn't mean the lawyer isn't registered — only that they haven't asked to be verified yet. You can check anyone yourself in the lawyer search on the Czech Bar Association's website.
